10 Power Moves to Launch and Grow your Business!

In this unique economic time, launching and growing a business can be a little challenging; however if you apply the foundational principles to business development you'll find greater success and less pain. Developing your business these days requires you to build four key areas with strategic planning and keen execution. At Visionary People our goals for ourselves and our clients are based on these four elements. If you neglect any of these key areas you'll be neglecting critical areas to your business:
Organizational, Human, Educational & Technological

Here are 10 proven steps you can use to launch and grow your business by focusing on the four key areas of development. These 10 Power Moves were heard live on the ATL Praise House Radio show as Chief Visionary, Natasha was interviewed by Lady Ashley. www.AtlPraiseHouse.com

1) Understand what an Entrepreneurs Role is. You are the creator, organizer and manager over a business enterprise that focuses on generating revenue and profit. This role is a 24 hour a day 365 day a year role. At times you may want to abandon your post because of the challenges you'll face but, you have to stay focused on the reason you took on this position. Hold on to the purpose not the problems!

2) Put the Vision on Paper! Have a business plan that becomes your road map for the execution of the vision. Then most importantly follow the road map. Keep it updated and fresh in the mind. Don't let it become a bunch of paper sitting on your bookshelf. The business plan will help you make effective and efficient business decisions.

3) Identify the Resources you'll need. What type of resources will you need? How much resources will you require based on your business plan? Understand the amount of money you'll need to start and operate with. Know the numbers because numbers when calculated won't lie! Understand the people & the customers and most importantly understand the industry. Don't neglect advancing in your education, always stay in a  mode of learning. Attend workshops, seminars and classes. The business owner that keeps learning keeps growing!

4) Prepare for Take Off! Design your marketing plan and campaign. How and when will you announce the product or service? Who will you announce it to? Where will you make the announcement? These are very important questions that need to be answered in your marketing plan. Know what the market is doing, and know what your competitors are doing. Get a Market Trend Analysis and Competitors Analysis.

5) Build the Right Team. Remember that rowing a boat upstream is easier when you have people on both sides of the boat working! There are 5 purposes to any team, make sure your team is fulfilling them! Put a red carpet concept to your business not only for customers but also for employees/contractors. Only allow the people that believe in you and your mission to join the team. If they don't believe in you and the mission then you don't need them!

6) Focus on Revenue Producing activities. Sell what people want instead of trying to sell what you have to people. People buy the items and services they want and or need. Most people don't buy things that find no value in, so therefore find the people that want what you sell and sell it to them. If you are trying to sell to everyone, then you are wasting time, money, resources and energy.

7) Network with a Purpose! Whether you're networking on social media or in-person do it with a purpose. Seek out avenues where you are engaging in quality networking, even on social media. It's not enough to have 5,000 friends on facebook what's important is what do you do with those 5,000 people on facebook? Join your industries professional organization and contribute to it, get on the board, volunteer to help and attend meetings.

8) Expose yourself as a Valuable Resource. People don't know how much you know until you tell them. So Blog about it, Write articles for publications and teach at colleges and trade schools. If you keep learning, you'll be able to keep teaching and then you'll want to learn some more to teach some more! This is where you will become the industry!

9) Offer your Services for free to non-profit organizations that will benefit from what you have to offer in exchange for an endorsement. Giving your service away to viable organizations will be one of the best Returns on Investments you'll experience.

10) Stay in the Media Eye! Create a calendar of interviews for the quarter or year. Never go missing for months unless you plan it. Make sure press releases are going out to media outlets at least every 2- 3 months. Have advertising strategies in place through out the year.
